We had an unexpected privilege at our June member's meeting when our member Dr Kim Jeong Suk, was again in the UK and offered to present BKWS with a taster session of one of her seminars on 'Choice Theory, Reality Therapy and Happiness'. Our session was a condensed look at the therapy and self counselling methods developed by Amerian psychiatrist William Glasser. Jeong Suk created a fascinating session where we looked at our definitions of happiness and how we can take charge of our lives and happiness. The session was thoroughly enjoyed by the attendees a very lucky to have been given the time by Jeong Suk, who is in much demand to present her seminars both here in the UK and overseas. It was such a shame that this was scheduled at the last minute. We have asked Dr Kim to run the session again another time she is in London, so that we can let members know earlier.

In February we all celebrated Seollal with a lovely meal at Kalbi restaurant. We were lucky to be joined by BKWS member Dr Kim Jeong Suk, who lives in Seoul but had been in the UK for a short time. Dr Kim managed to reschedule her return to Korea so she could join us for our celebratory meal. It was a great chance for fellow members to catch up with her.

Our member Kwak Hae Shin, who owns the Hanmi Gallery in maple street recently opened another gallery in Seoul. BKWS wishes Hea Shin much success with the new gallery.
Details of current exhibitions can be found on the gallery website www.hanmigallery.co.uk

Sylvia commented on the event, "So very thrilled, happy and proud I was on that day to represent in the UK my country of birth. The first Korean expatriate living in the UK to receive such an award. It was a joy to receive such an award and an honour to be recognised by my friends and peers in this manner."
